12.01.19 - TikTok is the latest “next big thing in social media that every brand should be on” platform, and on Sept 3rd the NFL announced a multi-year partnership: ‘to bring the excitement of the NFL experience to TikTok's global community, combining the passion surrounding NFL football with the fast-growing digital platform.’

Posting Insights:
Hashtags:
>>
All teams used Hashtags except the 49ers on their most popular video (views/likes).
>>All posts should include traditional staples: #fyp, #foryou #foryourpage, #teamname (ie #Steelers) - going a bit further when you look at the most popular videos for each team you’ll find the majority include content around a popular trend/tag:

Chargers #Putitinabun, Chiefs #facetrackingchallenge, Broncos #spookyseason, Jets #Wholesome, Dolphins #Heathers, Bills #Thanksgiving, Ravens #WeReady, Cowboys #begginyou, #beggin, Eagles #woah, Giants #glowup, Redskins #lionking, Cardinals #giddyupchallenge, Panthers #woah, Bucs #handshakechallenge, Bears #wholesome, Vikings #glowupchallenge

Cheerleaders:
>>
If your team has them, probably a good idea to occasionally post videos using them if you want big play/like numbers. Again going back to the most popular videos from each team, 5 were with cheerleaders (Dolphins, Cowboys, Eagles, Cardinals, Bucs), and two were the most popular overall (Eagles, Cowboys).

Music:
>>Common sense on the most basic level, but only one of the most popular team videos did not include music (Bears). This is what the platform is all about for college and pro teams - access to popular music without having to pay a license. MLB (IMO) did a horrible job when they first activated their channel just posting radio and tv highlight calls of plays. This is not the channel to post straight highlight clips (ok ok yes the black cat call is unique, so if that comes up go ahead and post). Change it up with custom editing or FX and integrate a popular music clip to give it life.

Topics:
>>Again don’t have to get cute here, only 5 of the 24 team’s most popular videos did not include players in some way (the 5 Cheerleader videos), and none of them where highlight clips.
>>An easy way to start building content is to simply follow the tag/challenge trends for ideas and just create content around them.
